SUNNYVALE, CA—Finally overcoming competition from the likes of Google, Microsoft, and AOL, internet corporation Yahoo firmly re-secured its place as an industry leader after Sunday’s purchase of millions of blogs written by 13-year-old girls. “While Yahoo has seen its share of struggles over the years, the company’s acquisition of over 100 million blogs written by middle-school females before bedtime has already majorly revitalized the company’s brand,” said BCG consultant Timothy Shore, praising the $1.1 billion purchase of web pages filled with complaints about parents, speculation about cute boys in school, and photos of Robert Pattinson.

So I got a full time job… I’ll be doing customer support for a software company called Social Solutions, they make case management and reporting software for human services nonprofits. Taking calls from the user organizations and updating the manual/knowledge base documentation and working with the online user forums and that kind of stuff.
The pay isn’t very good, but they do give quarterly bonuses and the benefits package is kind of mind blowing! And hey, full time. The staff seem really cool, and it also seems to be a lot of opportunities for promotion, since they’re growing pretty fast. And they’re really committed to improving people’s lives (especially at-risk youth), which is really important to me. I start the first week of June. Yayyyy.
